Omicron Protocol is a 1-4 player miniatures skirmish game that takes place in a cyberpunk dystopian future. It can be played competitively, cooperatively or solo. It has launched again on Kickstarter, after an unsuccessful first attempt, and the campaign will run for 23 days. (A standee option is offered as a core box pledge as well).
Residents of the fictional city of San Lazaro have been infected by some sort of cyber virus which makes them insane and murderous. Efforts to contain the outbreak have failed, and now it is up to you (a faction of survivors), to face the CyMS (Cyber Memetic Sociopaths). It is basically a zombie game for people who like the cyber punk theme better.
The game is played in campaign mode, and each scenario has specific objectives you have to attain. Dice rolling is the main mechanism by which you deal damage to the enemies but the hits are not dealt directly: rather, you choose how to use the results of your roll according to the abilities of your character. The movement of the CyMS is regulated by the amount of noise your heroes produce. There is also a faction of cybernetic mutated animals, but I don't know what their role in the game is. I'm assuming they add coolness points.
