The 2nd Edition of the 2-4 player card drafting and dice rolling game, Island Siege, is live on Kickstarter, and it includes solo rules. The campaign will run for 20 days. You can pledge for the game with or without metal coins.
In Island Siege, you play as a group of colonists who try to expand their territory while also defending it from opponents' attacks. In the solo mode, you play against the Ghost Captain.
You start the game with an Imperial card, a fort, nine colonists and a fleet token, as well as a small supply of stones. Over the course of the game, you will be drafting cards, moving colonists from the imperial card to the fort to construct buildings and ships, and attacking other forts. Attacks are resolved by rolling dice and applying modifiers. If you need to defend, you can use the fort stones as protection against the attacker's dice rolls. Your goal is to get all your colonists off the imperial card or gain 20 gold from construction work. How the solo game works is yet to be revealed.
