Flourish is live
Flourish is a 1-7 player card drafting and set collection game about creating the most beautiful garden. It can be played competitively, cooperatively or solo. The campaign is now live on Kickstarter and it will run for 16 days. There is only one pledge option that gets you the game and the Friends and Follies expansion. Shipping is unfriendly to anywhere outside the US.
In the solo mode of Flourish, you play against an AI called McGregor. McGregor has a deck of 12 cards, a scoring panel and a wall that separates you from it. On each turn, you will get a hand of six cards. You will keep one in your garden, and place two in McGregor's garden behind the wall. Then, McGregor will flip the top card from its deck to keep in his garden and you will receive two cards from MacGregor's deck plus one from the main draw deck. The two cards that you passed on to McGregor will get shuffled with the rest in its deck, so in subsequent rounds you may end up getting back the cards that you gave it. The game will continue with you and the AI scoring the cards in your gardens. Your final score at the end is the points you gathered minus those of McGregor.
