December was even worse than November. I added more than 50 games to my collection. That's more than the size of many people's collections.
The table below is not mine.
Some of them were expansions, in particular all 5 expansions for The Dresden Files. The game has better be good! I've also bought a bunch of expansions for Dragonfire that I was missing, even though I haven't played the base game - ever. I really should get rid of the habit of purchasing everything for a game before trying it. And the Gift Bearers expansion for Pauper's Ladder, which came with the nice surprise of a hefty VAT collection fee.
I also got Knizia games. I have this very annoying habit of collecting them - but of course, I have no one to play them. This includes Havalandi, Classic Art, and Einfach Genial: Das Würfelspiel. The volume of my Knizia collection is utterly crazy, I can guarantee.
I went crazy and suddenly wanted R.W.B.Y. so I got the game and two expansions but not all of them. I'm learning, am I not? It seems a pretty cool card game. I watched a gameplay video and I was completely hooked. And let's not forget Escape from 100 Million B.C., a game I knew I had to own eventually.
A bunch of small games: Inheritors (no idea what this is but the cover is nice), Caper Cards: Bells Hells, Featherlight, the four Justice League: Hero Dice, Railroad Ink, World of Draghan: O Dodo!, and a family game (not so small), Fauna.
I received a crowdfunded game, Eter. Wonder why I got it.
I have a thing with dungeon crawler-related games so I got Tschak, Rumble in the Dungeon, Tale of Carrot, and Skirmish!, all light multiplayer games with a dungeon crawler theme. All of these second-hand from the same seller.
I purchased a few new releases from retail: Portals, Lanfeust, Turing Machine, Twilight Inscription, Tucana Builders. Some of them were on sale, some were not. I have tried the majority of them, at least.
Finally, I bought/received Massive Darkness and Massive Darkness 2, and a bunch of expansions. Some retail, some second-hand. I'm satisfied with what I got and will not hunt for the extra contents (I found a great deal for the KS stretch goals of Massive Darkness 2 but it looked just like a great pile of minis to me so I passed).
One of my new airtight storage boxes for my mold-filled basement.
Already full of Massive Darkness 2 content.
And now I aded a pretty picture!
Please come to Holland and teach me how to play Twilight Inscription. Is very confusing for me.
Also, Iove Shadowrun Crossfire, so I never bothered to buy Dragonfire. But if you ever decide to get rid of your collection, do contact me 😁
