We didn't start the fire (Don't Let It Die is live)

Don't Let It Die is a cooperative 1-4 player game set in the paleolithic era - in pixel art. You control a group of Neanderthal men and women (four if you play solo) trying to keep a bonfire burning for 14 days.

The fire has been caused by a lightning strike, and these prehistoric characters have to evolve their skills and technology so that they eventually manage to make fire themselves. In the day phase, they can gather or forage for resources (flip cards to see what they find), or spend stamina (roll a die) to collect fire knowledge tokens. These tokens allow them to unlock fire-related conditions and abilities: warmth, cooking, crafting, and finally, fire starting. In the night phase, you draw cards from a deck of events that cause some unfortunate occurrence (e.g. a rival tribe steals your fiber).

The Kickstarter campaign will run for 29 days. A mini expansion with daylight event cards will be offered for free.
