In the heavy euro Legacies you embark on a six generations spanning journey, from the 19th century to the near future. Last Friday we learnt more about the solo mode in a Kickstarter update.
In a two-player game, an automated opponent called Rising Star gets in your way (you don't track points for it, it's there for a better game experience). For the solo mode, this deck of cards is joined by a second set called the Nemesis. Unlike the Rising Star, the Nemesis will be scoring fame and behave more like a human opponent. And then there's even an advanced solo game, where you'll have to compete with two Nemeses. Who knows, we may be able to turn it effectively in a 0-player game where the card decks fight it out amongst themselves.
Legacies features multi-use cards for gameplay, and throws other mechanisms like market manipulation, area control, variable player powers and more in the mix. The campaign will run for another week.
