Lift Off! Get me off this Planet! is live (No alien left behind)

Update: Lift Off! Get me off this Planet! has launched on Kickstarter, and the campaign will run for 13 days. You can back either the Deluxe edition or the Upgrade pack in case you already have the original Lift Off!

Both pledges include the Garglore solo mode components, and the Hungry Gamer has filmed a solo playthrough.

Lift Off! Get me off this Planet! is a family-style game from 2015 in which you try to eject as many aliens as you can from a planet that is about to explode. Pencil First Games has now planned a reprint and component upgrade, and will launch it on Kickstarter on January 7. They will also add a solo mode.

The game comes with a circular modular board that shows various ways of escaping: rocket ship, jetpack, trampoline, stargate, slingshot, a miracle. Each of these has specific requirements in order to work, usually a number of screws or fuel. Successful launching also depends on the moon cycle: you will be rolling a die that determines whether you can indeed escape or not. On each turn, you will be drawing two cards from a deck that provides you with screws, fuel or special actions, and will choose your lift-off vehicle accordingly.

Details on the solo mode have not been announced yet. The Hungry Gamer has posted a preview on BGG in which he says he found it too hard, so difficulty may be turned down a notch by the designer. The previous iteration of the game could be played either competitively or cooperatively, so presumably the Deluxe edition will feature both modes as well.
