Micro City (second edition) is a 1-2 player city-building game scheduled to launch on Kickstarter on January 15.

This is primarily a solo game, but 2 player cooperative and competitive variants are included too. Once you place the district cards on the table, and choose the building you intend to build, each round consists of 4 phases.

In the Preparation phase, you roll two dice and keep them in your reserve. (In subsequent rounds, you may also choose to sell one resource for 1$ or spend resources/money to remove one investment token from any quarter).

In the Project phase, you play a project card: you move your engineer as many quarters as indicated on the card, and perform either the basic or the advanced (if you spend one of your dice) action shown on the card.

In the Investment phase, if you have a die in your reserve that corresponds to the die icon of the quarter you are standing on, you can perform the action shown on that spot. If not, you can perform that quarter's basic action. These actions vary depending on the type of the quarter (residential/industrial/commercial).

In the Final phase, you place an investment token on the quarter your engineer is standing on, move the time tracker, and gain 1$ if you have two dice in your reserve.

You win the game when you complete the construction of a building. You lose, if the time tracker reaches zero or if you run out of investment tokens. You may check out the KS Preview page.
