Rise of Fenris Unboxing (No spoilers)

    in Your Latest Purchase

**I will not spoil the excitement for anyone with this

or any other Rise of Fenris posts - I swear**

I decided after dinner tonight to unbox the game, and begin reading the manual to get the idea

behind beginning the 8-episode campaign. As always, Stonemaier games do one hell of a job and the pride in their games is apparent immediately with all their games.

To have another box with Jakub Rozalski's amazing artwork on it is special in itself. His creation of this alternate 1920's world is unbelievable, and he made me a fan even before I purchased the base game.

As I took the lid off, I quickly noticed how Stonemaier games do a great job in how they package the expansion so to not spoil things for you, which is wonderful (I love surprises!). Then I pulled out this beauty...

A 50-page spiral bound, beautiful manual for the expansion. More artwork, the theme is apparent and consistent across expansions... I can't get enough! As I said when I purchased the base game when I first unboxed it; "WOW!"

    This is gonna be fun!

It sounds beauteous, Derek! That artwork is bad-ass (I love eye-candy)!

I presume you'll give us your assessment after you rock-'n-roll with it?

@Derek Arsenault Cool! Is this it? I hope you and Shauna (sp?) prosper! Are you in a little blue building that used to be a church?

@Cadet Stimpy That's us. 😊 Our building was owned by the United Church (which is two lots over) but wasn't a church itself. We bought it from them in 2015 and slowly combined all 3 businesses into 2, and within the same space.

It's also nice walking to work everyday (in non-lockdown times). I have a nice 2km (20min) walk to work each day vs years of 25min drives one way.

@Derek Arsenault I support small businesses, so Bravo! to you, Derek. Yeah, it's really nice bein' able to walk to work. In my roughly 50 years of being employed (retired now), I had 2 jobs that I could [reasonably] walk to work and both were under 5 minutes away. In both cases I had no garage, so when there was a foot (~0.3m) of snow on my car, it was much easier (and quicker) to throw on some boots and trudge through the snow for a few minutes than deal with the car. In better weather, the walk was quite pleasant.
