I have finally received Kradia. When I received the box I knew exactly what it was because I carefully track my incoming packages, so their contents is seldom a surprise. Still, the cardboard box was so big I was a bit puzzled... Anyway, after I opened it, I dug through layers of plastic bubble wrap and finally find my long awaited prize.
And the game box itself was also bigger than expected, like a large hardback graphic novel, but thin as a card deck. Here is the game next to a Tarot deck for comparison.
And then I opened it...
OK that was offending. The box is more than twice bigger than it should. The rules are the same size of the box but they could have been folded easily (it's only four pages).
When laid out, there really doesn't seem to be a lot of components. 15 small cardboard boards, 30 cards or so, two lore booklets. Do you notice the small transparent plastic bits? These are markers for your health and mana on your board. I think they ware way too small and will move too easily.
I have read the rules and they were really easy to understand. I'll try to play the game a bit, and then you'll hear back from me. Hopefully, the gameplay won't disappoint as much as the components!
