I'm practicing my sucking up face for when my wife sees my shipment come in late this week or early next...
In my defense (it's not the strongest possibly, but it's a defense); my goal in 2022 was to purchase games/expansions from the top of my wishlist as my priority. It just makes sense. I'm proud to say I am continuing with that plan.
Yesterday I made two purchases that are long overdue:
The first of two Wingspan expansions, Wingspan: European Expansion will fly onto my shelf and add many more birds to my base game. 🤗
Marvel Champions one has been on my list pretty much since the start of my gaming hobby. As a big Marvel fan, this is a given. I'm so excited to get this one to the table, and to add some more decks of some of my favourite Marvel characters down the road. (I'm pretty sure I can say with confidence this is also @JW approved with the official 'ST stamp of approval') 😉
I was excited and incredibly satistified with this order. Then today I brought Anachrony to the table for only my second full solo playthrough. Despite having to take a break from the game and play my final era after my board meeting with the soccer club, I thoroughly enjoyed it once again (despite losing, once again to the Chronobot; But I'm getting closer!).
After this play today, I knew that there was no more waiting; I'm going to order one of the expansions that will allow me to have the improved Chronobot and Chronossus solo mode, as well as an expansion addition to the base game! One last order has officially happened...
Anachrony: Fractures of Time will be making it's way onto my shelf later this week or early next as well.
Maybe I can use the excuse that father's day is just about here??? 😋

I've always found Winspan is much improved by the European Expansion. More varied end goals, more valid strategies. Plus birds I can recognise, and PURPLE EGGS.
Marvel Champions has been Solitaire Select. I still play it often. Fortunately I could save some money this year as I'm not interested in Spider-Man, but the X-men are up next, so 💸💸💸
Anachrony is one of my favourite games. I've written a glowing review on it in the future. One day the website will catch up.
