    18 Holes

    in Your Latest Purchase

My only experience with golf is when I caddied at a private country club (it was the closest golf course by bicycle) for a Summer job when I was a teenager in Oregon. Well, there's putt-putt/mini-golf, but it's a stretch to include that in 'golfing' experience. 🙂

Anyway, I was thinkin' it might be fun to have another game about sports. The only other game about mainstream sports I have is Bottom of the 9th. That's actually not a bad game, and you don't need to know all about baseball to play it, either. Pretty small box and footprint, too.

    Without further ado:

Added plus: BGG's Complexity Rating - 1.67! I feel there's hope for me when that number is below 2. 😄

I do golf and play hockey. However my favourite sport is soccer. I played for 32 years before retiring due to injury. I played at some respectable levels as well. Hockey I've played since I was 6 yrs old (only missing last year due to the pandemic and no hockey being played of course). It's my next favourite sport after soccer for sure (true to my Canadian roots) 😉

I love and respect all sports to be honest. Golf is a sport I really enjoy, however it's one of those games where unless you play often, it's hard to get good at it. LOL I play well enough to enjoy it, we'll just say that. LOL

Are you a golfer Mike? If not, have you ever tried it?

No, I'm not. That Summer I was a caddy, the Country Club had "Caddy Day" on Tuesday, so I golfed on Tuesdays for one Summer. Never took lessons, but I did manage to get a couple of Birdies and a small handful of Pars during my non-illustrious career. But to put things in the proper perspective, I don't recall ever breaking a hundred. 😄

I like it a lot, too. Do you golf, Derek, or are you more the Ice Hockey type?

I don't know anything about golf, it's the sport of the very rich people here. 😏 The board game looks very nice, though, I like the hexes and the trees.

Yeah, it isn't a bad lookin' game at all, IMHO. Z must be likin' those hexes. 🙂

You're rich though (I'm certainly not 😋), right Athena? Besides, an annual membership at Gylfada is only €2050/$2477/C$3000 anyway. Chicken feed for a jet-setter such as yourself, no doubt. I don't know what it costs to join, though.

To join the Liberty National in N.J. (US) its about €413,840/$500,000/C$605,500
