I played my first session of Nations: The Dice Game today. I ended up building windmills in Greece, with Samurai protecting my advisor Marie Antoinette while we sailed in our longships to the Statue of Liberty. Good stuff.
This game has been on sale in Ghent for months and I have been wondering ever since whether to get it or not. What you describe seems very enjoyable but... I am still unsure whether the fun this game provides is of the kind I am sensitive to.
I love dice games, I can't suffer resource management and economic development games. If this feels more than a dice game rather than an economic game, then it's something I might be looking for.
