We stayed over with friends in Germany last week. With my German friend I played:
The session took 4,5 hours. We had included the Prelude expansion. The game is still new to my friend and I own the Dutch version, so I had to do some translation now and then. But we were fully engaged the whole time. Those hours just flew by. I lost. 😕
[2] Star Realms
For the first time ever after over 500 plays together, this was not online but with real cards!!! My friend didn't stand a chance. 😎
[3] Talisman: Revised 4th Edition
I'd thrown in 3 small expansions and 3 large ones. My daughter joined in on the fun. Another 4,5 hours long session. Another win for my friend. 🤔 He enjoyed it so much that we left the game at his place. We'll come pick it up some other time. He lent out Dungeons & Dragons: Castle Ravenloft Board Game to us.
[4] Aeon's End
Good fun. 👍
Covid-19 permitting, we'll visit again in a weekend at the end of September.
Interesting to hear someone decided to play Talisman with 3 and not all 4 corner boards. I guess it was for ergonomic reasons.
Pirate Ships Playground (w/gratuitous seagulls!)? Nice! What the Hell is lookin' out that window of the ship on the left?
That was nice of ya to leave Talisman for your friend to play. Hopefully you still have enough games in the NL to keep ya occupied. 😄
I had a one-week vacation as well but I haven't been able to do more than one gaming session, it was a one hour one for Card Tactics.
Playgrounds seem a fun program.
Now that's a fun gaming vacation! Not to mention the playgrounds!
I just played TM with my sister and brother-in-law. Their first time, and my first time at the table multiplayer (finally!!!). Just loved it. We went 3-hrs (or so) with the base game (my sister can sometimes be slow LOL), and like you, I lost. 😏 I completely agree though; the time just flies by. Such a great game.
