Last night I brought Raiders of the North Sea to the table for a viking raid before bed (how calming eh?...)

I decided to play with just the base game last night. My first and only win came with the Hall of Heroes expansion earlier this year, so I thought I'd try to give the base game a go again and see if I could plunder the most villages!!
As you can see in the pic, I do still use the player boards (below main board) from the HoH expansion . They're so great!

As usual, I felt I was off to a great start, and keeping the A.I. within range. I had a nice crew beginning to come together, and we were raiding the harbours quite quickly last night.
In the end, I lost. BUT! It was worth it, because this game just makes me smile. 😁 The artwork is so great, and so bold in its colours, it paints a beautiful picture of the viking landscape on my table. And of course, worker placement... hello!
How long does a Solo battle generally take, Derek?
