Some exciting news in todays newsletter of Worthington Publishing. There will be a deluxe edition of the old Victory Point Games title Malta Besieged: 1940-1942. Which is a much sought after States of Siege game.

Now let's hope Carey signed a deal with Worthington, and We Must Tell The Emperor is up next.
That could be a plan, JW. I’ve been becoming more interested in State of Siege games after I played Mound Builders and Zulus a few times. Initially, I thought they looked more like a homework assignment than anything that would be fun. Which I suppose I still do. 🙂 I prefer many art styles, but these aren’t them. I’m into ‘eye candy’. 🙂 Well, war isn’t pretty. However, with these games I’m mentally puttin’ on my Patton helmet and engaging in a strategical and tactical, non-fantasy, historical military battle. I don’t think they’d ever become my favorite genre, but they are growin’ on me, for sure.
You could start a Worthington deluxe VPG-reprints set...
- In Magnificent Style
- Soviet Dawn
- Keep up the Fire
- Malta Besieged
(with hopefully more to come).
Oh... I was likin the idea of have a "set" (size-wise), like the Oniverse ones (except for Urbion). You're probably familiar with the ol' 3M Bookshelf series. Kinda cool. They stack more efficiently, too. Since I'm big into symmetry; that stuff appeals to me. 🙂
This is not the old Victory Point Games small 'pizza box' anymore. Those are gone along with the original VPG. I haven't seen Worthington's boxes but they should be bigger.
Oops, I think I misspelled Siege. 😪
Are all of those State of Seige Victory Point games the same size? Would this one be bigger because it's the deluxe version?
