You don't like Space Bees? Birdies? But desperately want to get into the Stonemaier family fun? Here's your chance! Connie Vogelmann (Apiary) designed - with Elizabeth Hargrave taking her under her wing - a new and improved Wingspan. With dragons!
Wyrmspan may sound as if it will come out on April Fools, but it is very much a thing. And it looks like a good thing. This time even Zerbique will want to buy a (French localized) copy. In shops soon.
More information on the Stonemaier website.
As I "mature" in my hobby, I've actually calmed down on this one a bit (for now). I'm going to wait for more videos and dive into more research before jumping on board this one. I have other Stonemaier things I want first. However, I love the dragon theme!
How did I miss this!? Yay!
I wasn't into Wingspan for solo, doubt this will be any different. But I also heard it should be a bit more complex than Wingspan, which makes me think it won't be a family game anymore :D I may have a skewered view on family games, cause for my family, Wingspan is like the edge of what is acceptable to learn.
I still keep looking at dragon themed games (even though Flamecraft's solo mode has me engaged fully and you know, Primal is coming) and basically any fauna/flora themed games. But scoring AI is a no go.
Facing the flood of it I stopped getting all board games about dragons.
The chances I'll ever get this one are... slim at best.
I think the single Stonemaier Games I'm likely to get one day is Libertalia - Random Fantasy retheme.
Well, I did own Smitten for a short time. But that was a mistake. Dutrait tricked me in!
Apiary, while a good game, did fell a bit flat for me on the solo side. Luckily I could borrow a friend's copy to find this out. Maybe I'll take a chance on Wyrmspan and get a copy myself.
