But 2 Games at Target, get 3rd one Free

    in Feeling Chatty

Sorry for the late notice on this Sale (it ends today (Saturday)), but I just recently found out about it. They have games like Wingspan, Viticulture Essential Edition, Maracaibo, Scythe, etc. It doesn't take much to get Free Shipping, either. Click here for an example.

Well, they fished me in. I decided to go with some cheaper games than I mentioned in the original Post, so I got these for $81 (€70/C$103/£60) total (that was with Shipping and Handling, too), so it was a decent deal.

@Cadet Stimpy We have neither, that's why boardgaming is quite an expensive hobby in my part of the world. We do have department stores, of course, but they only sell clothes, cosmetics and home decor.

@Cadet Stimpy I've never seen a Walmart outside the US (but I've seen Starbucks, McDonalds, KFC, etc. pretty much every where). Actually none of the "general stores" I've seen in the US (Publix, Target, Walmart) exist in Europe as far as I know.

We do have board games in general stores in France (Carrefour, Monoprix, Casino), but it's only the children-targeted ones and the choice is therefore very, very limited. Also there are never sales. I remember, when I was a kid, I found the D&D adventure game for 12€ in such a general store and this is, I believe, the best and only one general store sale for an actual board game I will ever see in my life.

No, you almost can't get board games outside stores that specialize in them, and the sales are limited (usually to board games that wouldn't sell otherwise). Online retail is not bountiful either. Amazon has surprisingly very little choice and poor prices (at least in France, Germany is different in this regard, I know this first-hand), and most don't do games in English (so you are limited to localizations). This is why Philibert, which does have English games and a few "retail" pledges from Kickstarters, is so valuable for me.
