I bought Pandemic Legacy: Season 1. Having played Pandemic: Reign of Cthulhu in the past, I was relatively familiar with the rules but decided to play a session of regular Pandemic to warm up before jumping into Legacy. I lost. And lost, and lost, and lost!!!
It took me a lot of tries before I managed a win. Now I don't feel so confident to start the Legacy game... There is a sticker that you put on top of a secret box. It says: 'open the box if you lose 4 times in a row'. I guess I will find out what's inside... 😣
It is difficult to win sometimes, but each loss gives you a slight advantage for the next game.
BTW, the cubes from this game are a perfect match for the ones in my Pocket Sports games. I just wish that I also had green. I'm glad that I saved them after I was through with this.

I was glad to see that you can play regular Pandemic on the Legacy board, so I will end up keeping it. New scenarios and a campaign have come out for it recently, so it's fine.
I know someone who can beat Pandemic consistently, but I certainly can't. I win one in three of my sessions I think. You'll get better at it, and like Kevin said, during the Legacy campaign you'll get help so it won't lead
to one frustrating play after another.
