Here's my entry:
Reason (in part): I have a boat-load of trees in my yard, so in the Fall we do a lot of "leaf removal". The aforementioned game was so thematic for one of my real-life things, I was drawn to it. LOL! I generally don't zoom around in space or crawl through dungeons fighting foes, so most games don't have any 'real-life' appeal to me (but, of course, appeal to my fictional life of heroism, etc.).
In general, I believe I back too many games on KS. I need to avoid that Website while I'm self-medicating - it clouds my judgement, which isn't anywhere near stellar to begin with. đ
That's actually a good reason to back a game, the theme relates to you. What's worse is to back a game you have no interest in but end up getting because other people are hyped about it. If you check, for example, ISS Vanguard threads on BGG, there are people asking what others see in it so that they become convinced to back it...
Hanging around here isn't terribly tempting, I believe. JW and I are a couple of grumpies, seldom hyped about anything. đ
