Update: Lost Ones has launched on Kickstarter and the campaign will run for 20 days. You may back a copy of the game with or without minis, or go for the Deluxe pledge that also includes Of Dreams and Shadows and its expansion.

Lost Ones is a 1-4 player cooperative choose-your-own-adventure game in which you try to escape captivity from the world of the Fae. It will launch on Kickstarter on October 13.
Lost Ones shares the same universe as Of Dreams and Shadows, designer Gordon Alford's previous game, so if you are familiar with that, you will be able to draw the connections. You play as one of four young people who have been kidnapped and imprisoned in the world of the Fae. The first chapter begins with you taking advantage of a conflict among the Fae and escaping. From now on, you have to explore the land, engage with encounters and find your way home.
The available to you actions are: a) Explore by laying down a new tile, moving on it and reading the accompanying paragraph in the Storybook. b) Pass a skill test by using your ability cards during an encounter. c) Move to a previously explored tile, and d) Activate 'Boon' cards (cards that grant you magical powers). Encounters may lead into battle or ask you to make a choice, so the game allows for different story paths. To win the game, you have to find one of the Gateways to your homeland before time runs out, you run out of cards, or get caught by the Fae.
